CORNER CANVAS
4th Family x Corner Canvas
Corner of Henry Johnson and Clinton - Albany, NY // September 2018
Corner Canvas marked my first youth mural program and laid the foundation for my community-centered work. In partnership with 4th Family, Albany Center Gallery, and the Albany Housing Authority, the project empowered middle and high school students to reclaim public space in neighborhoods impacted by safety concerns and declining morale. Youth designed and painted vibrant mural panels that were later installed at three highly visible locations near public libraries. Years later, the murals remain intact—continuing to brighten daily commutes and stand as a testament to youth-led placemaking.
